Following the amazing success of last years inaugural Scruffs Dog Show, Keswick is told hold the event again on Sunday 21st June 2015. The show will be in the town center Fitz Park next to the museum. It’s a fantastic location with views of the magnificent Skiddaw and conveniently located next to a river to cool dogs off if the weather is warm. The show has 20 fun classes, including classes such as ‘best biscuit catcher’ and ‘most appealing eyebrows’. Such is the popularity of the show, local businesses have been very generous in sponsoring each class and the prizes are fantastic. Each class costs £2 to enter and there are rosettes for 1st to 4th place of each class. Podgy Paws is sponsoring a very special category of ‘Extraordinary Dog’, which is aimed at any dog living with a disability or illness. The class is in memory of founder and Managing Director of Podgy Paws, Suggs the boxer, who we sadly lost a week before Scruffs 2014 due to lymphoma.
Pre entry opens at Podgy Paws on the 1st June where registration can be made in person for each of the classes. A certain percentage will be held for the day and it is strictly on a first come first served basis.
Once again EZYDOG have very generously become the main show sponsor with each runner up receiving an Ezydog product and the overall Best in Show shall be completely kitted out in Ezydog products, leads, collars, harness, life jacket or backpack and dog jacket, worth up to £180 team project management.
Once again the show will have dog related demonstrations to entertain and there will be trade stands to have a mooch about and food stalls to tempt you as well as the fabulous Cafe West in the Museum.
Please help spread the word amongst your family and friends to help make the show an even greater success than last year.
